Garden Froglets
Back in Ayrshire, metamorphosis is now complete. Common Frogs (Rana temporaria) are leaving their watery nursery for the big wide world.

Thirsty Heath

Sunny Hill
Sunny Hill Park is in Hendon, North London – a few minutes walk from my house. In summer, the unmanicured areas are great for skipper butterflies. At dusk they stop dancing through the grasses and settle to roost in the warm, late evening glow.
