Went birding around Auchincruive in Ayrshire today. There were not many birds. Although woodlands seem dull and lifeless in northern Europe at this time of year there is still colour to be searched out. These images are more or less straight from camera with no post-manipulation.
The weather over the Christmas and New Year period was poor this year. Storms and powercuts were the norm. No cold, blue sky, frosty days. Itching to get out and do some photographty, one day I contented myself with trying some unusual shots indoors.
